Notre Dame and Tennessee are leading the recruitment for 2025 4-star QB Deuce Knight (MS), according to Rivals’ Adam Gorney. Knight posted a photo of his return trip South Bend yesterday to his Twitter account. He added a Notre Dame offer this spring, which was followed by a visit, and made two trips to see the Vols since March. According to the report, Knight is expected to see in-state Ole Miss this weekend.
UCLA will go into fall camp with a competition for the starting quarterback spot, head coach Chip Kelly said during Pac-12 Media Days. The top three options to be the Week 1 starter are Ethan Garbers (Stats), Kent State transfer Collin Schlee (Stats) and 5-star true freshman Dante Moore (Stats). Garbers played six games at quarterback in a reserve role in each of the last two seasons with one career start, while Schlee was the full-time starter with the Golden Flashes in 2022.
Kansas received a commitment from 2025 QB David McComb (OK), according to his Twitter account. The Jayhawks locked down an early commitment from 3-star Isaiah Marshall in the 2024 recruiting class and got an even bigger head start on 2025. McComb visited the Jayhawks last month and was back on campus on the day of his commitment. He doesn’t have a star rating from any of the three major recruiting sites early in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith said the QB competition will play out through the first few weeks of camp during Pac-12 Media Days. Clemson transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei (Stats) is considered to be the favorite to becoming the Week 1 starter with Ben Gulbranson (Stats) challenging him. Uiagalelei was a two-year starter with the Tigers, while Gulbranson took over the starting role and played in 10 games for the Beavers in 2022. Oregon State finished 7-1 in the eight games he started, so this competition may be closer than we may think.
