Maryland sent an offer to 2025 4-star QB Akili Smith Jr. (CA), he announced on his Twitter account. This was Smith’s 17th offer and his second from a Big Ten program this week as the Terps join Illinois. Smith is getting a ton of interest from all areas of the country and is expected to be one of the top 2025 quarterback prospects in the class.

Utah State added a commitment from 2024 3-star QB Ryland Jessee (CA), according to his Twitter account. Jessee picked up a Utah State offer on an official visit to see the Aggies and made his commitment a week later. Since then, he made trips to Nevada and Oregon State, which also offered a scholarship.

Tulane received a commitment from 2024 3-star QB Kellen Tasby (TX), according to his Twitter account. Coming off a 12-win season that ended with a Cotton Bowl victory over USC, the Green Wave have a chance at establishing themselves as a consistent threat in the new AAC. Recruiting wins like this could go a long way because Tasby had plenty of FBS options including Arizona, which sent an offer and had him on campus an official visit a few days before this commitment.
