THE QB REPORT
Quarterback Central | Teams | Players
Plenty of NFL scouts are projecting USC QB Caleb Williams (Stats) to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, according to ESPN’s Matt Miller. His biggest challenger for the top spot is expected to be North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye (Stats). Williams’ father has said it’s not a lock he declares for the draft, but it would be a major shock if he plays another college football season. He is coming off a three-interception game against Notre Dame and without many poor performances, it will be see how he responds on Saturday against Utah.
LSU is the current frontrunner for 2025 5-star QB Bryce Underwood (MI), according to 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong. He is coming off a return visit to see the Tigers, and in-state Michigan, Colorado and Penn State are teams that were mentioned as well. Underwood currently has a scheduled commitment for Jan. 9.
2025 4-star QB Antwann Hill Jr. (GA) told On3’s Chad Simmons he will most likely announce a commitment in December or January coming off his weekend visit to Colorado. Hill also noted Alabama, Florida State, Florida and Penn State as programs that are standing out. Out of the teams mentioned, only the Seminoles have a quarterback committed in the class with 4-star Tramell Jones Jr.
