Georgia is in play for USC 2025 4-star QB commit Julian Lewis (GA), according to On3’s The Inside Scoop. He committed to the Trojans in August but made his third visit over the last three weekends to see the Bulldogs over the weekend. Lewis previously saw Colorado and Auburn in the last few weeks as USC looks to hang on.
2025 4-star QB Bear Bachmeier (CA) committed to Stanford, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported. He’ll join his older brother Tiger, who is coming off a strong true freshman season at wide receiver. Bachmeier is expected to join a future quarterback room that just signed 4-star Elijah Brown (CA) to its 2024 class.
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian named Quinn Ewers (stats) the starting quarterback for this fall. This is not at all surprising with Arch Manning (stats) set to take over the backup role after being the third-string option as a true freshman. Ewers still has two years left, but this is likely his last season before Manning takes over the full-time role in 2025.
