Texas adds commitment from 2025 4-star KJ Lacey

KJ Lacey (AL) made a visit to Texas over the weekend, and it was enough for the Longhorns to get another blue-chip quarterback commitment. I asked Texas’ 2024 4-star QB commit Trey Owens (TX) about the news and he said, “I think he’s a really good quarterback. You’re not bad and go win an Alabama state championship as a sophomore, so he brings a lot to the table.” Steve Sarkisian has to be thrilled with the group of quarterbacks he’s been able to land as the Longhorns get ready for the move to the SEC.
2025 4-star QB Quentin Murphy is not committed to Ole Miss
Quentin Murphy (AR) tweeted out a commitment graphic to Ole Miss on Saturday, but the tweets and retweets have since been deleted from his timeline. Florida 2025 4-star QB commit Austin Simmons visits Ole Miss, may reclassify
SCOOPS: On3’s Keith Niebuhr/Austin Simmons
Austin Simmons (FL) has been committed to Florida for two months but is coming off a weekend visit to Ole Miss. We’ve about this Simmons story a bit, but he already has enough credits to graduate from high school, and this could be a fascinating development to track over the next few weeks. According to On3’s Keith Niebuhr, many think it’s likely Simmons will reclassify to the 2023 recruiting class and enroll this summer. He also wants to play baseball, so there’s a lot going on in this recruitment.

2025 4-star QB Tavien St. Clair adds more blueblood interest

Less than two weeks after getting a big-time offer from Ohio State, St. Clair landed offers from Alabama and LSU over the weekend. Expect those the offers to continue to grow with more interest from some of the top programs in the country.
