Before we get into today’s recruiting news, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported NCAA officials voted to move the December signing period to earlier in the month. Starting this year, Early Signing Period will open after conference championships and before the transfer portal window opens.
Additionally, it was decided to push back a decision on adding a third Signing Day, which would take place over the summer, and the committee will meet again in June.
So that’s the latest. I’m still not sure why National Signing Days really matter at this point with it looking more likely unlimited transfers will become a permanent part of college football. Now let’s get into some quarterback recruiting news, shall we?

Grady Adamson
2025 3-star QB Grady Adamson (OK) told me he’ll visit BYU this week, followed by USF and Georgia Tech at the end of March with early April trips to Boston College and Syracuse. Adamson added he saw North Texas on Monday and is looking to close in on a decision by the end of next month. The Yellow Jackets are the only program mentioned that have yet to offer a scholarship.
Deuce Knight
Alabama is the biggest threat to flip Notre Dame 2025 4-star QB commit Deuce Knight (MS) with Ole Miss staying in contact, 247Sports’ Tom Loy reported. The Crimson Tide’s new coaching staff appears to be prioritizing Knight more than Nick Saban’s crew. He’s been committed to the Fighting Irish since September, and things could get interesting if Knight schedules an upcoming visit to Tuscaloosa.
Jared Curtis
2026 4-star QB Jared Curtis (TN) has visits scheduled for Georgia (March 23), Auburn (March 30), Oklahoma (April 6) and Texas (April 13), he told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong. There is also a possibility of seeing Alabama and Notre Dame at some point this spring. The top-rated prospect in the class released a top six that included Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida State, Ohio State and Texas A&M, though that list is now more than two months old. The Bulldogs and Buckeyes appear to be the leaders at this point.
Ryan Montgomery
South Carolina received a prediction to add 2025 4-star QB Ryan Montgomery (OH) from Gamecock Central’s Chris Clark. This has appeared to be a two-team race for a while between the Gamecocks and Florida, which is in the mix for a number of the top 2025 quarterbacks in the 2025 class.
Antwann Hill Jr.
2025 4-star QB Antwann Hill Jr. (GA) will make official visits to Texas A&M (June 15-17) and Duke (June 23-25), he told 247Sports’ Cory Fravel. According to the report, he also included Florida, Florida State and Ole Miss among his top schools along with the Aggies and Blue Devils. Hill was briefly committed to Colorado before opening things up in November, and the Gators and Aggies appear to be the top contenders at this point.
Julian Lewis
Georgia is the top threat to flip USC 2025 4-star QB commit Julian Lewis (GA), Rivals’ Adam Gorney reported. This is conflicting news from previous reports that said Alabama is the top non-Trojans option. He will visit all three programs this month, along with Auburn and Colorado, and has been committed since August before reclassifying from 2026.
Ty Hawkins
Alabama, Ole Miss and Cal have been in contact with TCU 2025 4-star QB commit Ty Hawkins (TX), he told Rivals’ Marshall Levenson. He committed in June and does not have any visits outside of the Horned Frogs at this point. Hawkins said he’s locked in with TCU but will see what happens this spring.
Dia Bell
2026 4-star QB Dia Bell (FL) is contacting Texas, LSU, Penn State and Auburn the most, he told 247Sports’ Brian Dohn. He will see all four programs this spring and told me he’ll also visit Miami, Pitt, West Virginia and North Carolina with unscheduled trips to Florida, Mississippi State and USF.
Brady Smigiel
2026 4-star QB Brady Smigiel (CA) will visit Florida (March 29), Miami (March 31), Florida State (April 5) and Washington (April 19), he told 247Sports’ Blair Angulo. He picked up an Ohio State offer last month with Notre Dame and Oregon said to be among the early favorites for Smigiel.
Quinn Murphy
2026 QB Quinn Murphy (TX) is visiting Arkansas, Baylor, TCU and Oklahoma State this week, 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong reported. He also added an SMU visit earlier this week as well. The Horned Frogs are the only program mentioned that have yet to offer Murphy.
Will Griffin
2026 4-star QB Will Griffin (FL) is visiting USC, UCLA and Oregon this week, he told On3’s Chad Simmons. He will also make spring trips to see Texas, Florida State, Florida and Miami with potential Ohio State and Clemson visits.
Luke Carney
2025 3-star QB Luke Carney (TX) has visits to BYU, Cal and Syracuse scheduled this month, he told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong. All three programs offered him already, and Carney added USF, Georgia Tech and James Madison as additional programs that he’s interested in.
Kelden Ryan
Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, BYU, Houston, UCLA and Baylor continue to contact Virginia Tech 2025 3-star QB commit Kelden Ryan (TX), he told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong. There have been no signs of Ryan considering a flip at this point and locked in an official visit for June 21-23 to see the Hokies, which he committed to last July.
2027 QB Bryce Carter (PA) told me he’ll attend the Old Dominion camp on June 1, coming off recent visits to Virginia Tech, Maryland, Rutgers, UConn, Princeton and Monmouth.
2027 QB JaRon Ward (NC) told me he’ll attend camps at Colorado, Charlotte, Appalachian State and Virginia Tech with potential trips to South Carolina and Charleston Southern.
2027 QB Adam Shaw (NJ) is registered for Ohio State, Villanova and Delaware camps and is waiting for upcoming camps at Michigan State, Virginia and Duke. He’ll receive an invite for Delaware’s Junior Day on March 16.
2027 QB Greisan Follari-Jespersen (CO) told me he’ll attend camps at Stanford, Wyoming and Brown.
