Welcome to all the new subscribers, and thanks for joining in on the fun ahead of a huge month of quarterback recruiting news. I took last week to battle back-end website stuff (and won), so today’s edition will be extra long since I was still tracking every update from last week.
Also, I’m starting to write about quarterbacks from the 2027 class with the 2024 cycle wrapping up. The Quarterback Report includes the latest QB recruiting and transfer portal offers, visits, commits and more for FBS and FCS programs.

Dia Bell
2026 4-star QB Dia Bell (FL) told me his visit schedule consists of Miami (March 6), LSU (March 8-9), Texas (March 18-19), Pitt (March 21), Penn State (March 22-23), West Virginia (March 25), Auburn (March 26) and North Carolina (April 2). He told 247Sports’ Brian Dohn he’s in contact with Penn State, LSU, Texas and Auburn the most. Bell also told me he has unscheduled visits to Florida, Mississippi State and USF.
Brady Smigiel
Notre Dame and Oregon are the frontrunners for 2026 4-star QB Brady Smigiel (CA), Rivals’ Adam Gorney reported. He’ll visit Florida, Florida State and Miami later this month before Washington in April and summer trips to Michigan and Ohio State. Smigiel’s most recent offer came from the Buckeyes, and there’s a long way to go in this recruitment with the number of interested power programs.
KJ Lacey
Alabama has not been reaching out to Texas’ 2025 4-star QB commit KJ Lacey (AL) much, Rivals’ Adam Gorney reported. This is a change from the previous coaching staff, which appeared to be working hard on flipping the in-state prospect. Other programs still involved include Auburn, Oregon and Ole Miss, but the Longhorns are not in danger of losing Lacey especially with the Crimson Tide’s interest fading.
