LSU QB Jayden Daniels (Stats) is probable for Saturday’s game against Florida, head coach Brian Kelly said. He practiced again on Thursday and will most likely pass concussion protocol before the matchup against the Gators, according to Kelly. Daniels exited last week’s loss to Alabama with a head injury and was replaced by Garrett Nussmeier (Stats), who would start if Daniels is not cleared.
Alabama is starting to separate itself for 2025 4-star QB George MacIntyre (TN), according to Rivals’ Adam Gorney. This report came prior to last weekend’s visit to Tuscaloosa, but he told On3’s Chad Simmons the Crimson Tide are in a great spot. LSU is also in the mix for MacIntyre, who made a recent trip to UCLA, and Tennessee continues to go after the in-state prospect.
LSU received a recruiting prediction machine pick to land 2025 5-star QB Bryce Underwood (MI) from On3’s Josh Newberg. He is the only quarterback with a 5-star rating in the class and recently told On3’s Hayes Fawcett his top seven schools including LSU, Michigan, Alabama, Colorado, Oregon, Penn State and Florida State. Of those schools, the Seminoles, Ducks and Buffaloes already have a 2025 QB committed. Underwood set a commitment date for Jan. 6, 2024, and in-state Michigan appears to be the top competitor for the Tigers.

Stone left last week’s win over Rice in the fourth quarter, and Kevin Jennings (Stats) finished the victory. He would be in line to get the start if Stone is unavailable.
