COLLEGE FOOTBALL QB REPORT
Quarterback Central | Teams | Players
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said QB Quinn Ewers (Stats) threw during Monday’s practice and has been upgraded from week-to-week to day-to-day as the Longhorns prepare for Saturday night’s game at TCU. Sarkisian said it will depend on how Ewers feels after missing the last two games with a shoulder injury. Maalik Murphy (Stats) has played every snap over Arch Manning (Stats) since Ewers left with an injury.
Kentucky QB Devin Leary (Stats) said he’s 100% for Saturday’s home matchup with Alabama after leaving last week’s loss to Mississippi State with blurry vision. Offensive coordinator Liam Coen confirmed Leary will play after Tuesday’s practice a day after head coach Mark Stoops did not say whether Leary will be available, though he was able to read the wristband clearly. Kaiya Sheron (Stats) replaced Leary in the fourth quarter last week despite being listed as a co-backup with Destin Wade (Stats).
LSU head coach Brian Kelly said QB Jayden Daniels (Stats) has been cleared to practice on Wednesday and will be cleared for full-contact on Thursday if all goes well. Daniels suffered a head injury during last week’s loss to Alabama, and Garrett Nussmeier (Stats) would get the start on Saturday against Florida if Daniels is unavailable.

Wednesday Game Day QB Notes
Eastern Michigan head coach Chris Creighton said QB Ike Udengwu III (Stats) left the loss to Western Michigan prior to the bye week with an eye injury. He was making his first start over Austin Smith (Stats), who did not participate in practice heading into that matchup with an undisclosed injury. Smith was only available in an emergency situation and considering he was able to play, it seems likely he will be available for Wednesday night’s matchup at Toledo. Smith continues to be listed as the starter on the depth chart with Udengwu and Cam’Ron McCoy (Stats) as the co-backups.
