MY TOP THREE
Mississippi State transfer QB Will Rogers (stats) decommitted from Washington, On3’s Pete Nakos reported, though he since attended Sunday night’s meeting with Huskies’ new head coach Jedd Fisch. Washington’s Austin Mack (stats) and Will Haskell (stats) entered the transfer portal, and 2025 3-star Jackson Kollock (CA) decommitted. The Huskies need plenty of transfer help with incoming true freshman Dermaricus Davis likely the only scholarship QB on the roster.
Washington State transfer QB Cameron Ward (stats) committed to Miami for his final year of eligibility after originally declaring for the NFL Draft. The Hurricanes appeared to have a three-way battle between Emory Williams (stats), Jacurri Brown (stats) and Albany (FCS) transfer Reese Poffenbarger, but that’s more likely to be a 2025 storyline with Ward set to immediately take over as the starter. Hurricanes’ reserve quarterback Jayden George (stats) entered the transfer portal for his final year of eligibility, On3’s Pete Nakos reported.
Michigan QB JJ McCarthy (stats) declared for the NFL Draft. The Wolverines haven’t been active in the transfer quarterback market and do not release a depth chart with Alex Orji (stats), Davis Warren (stats), Jayden Denegal (stats) and true freshman Jadyn Davis as options on the 2024 roster. Orji had a regular role as a rushing threat during the season.

DEPTH CHART & INJURY REPORT (2)
Texas QB Quinn Ewers (stats) announced he’ll be back with two years of eligibility remaining. Ewers is a returning starter with Arch Manning (stats) elevated to the backup role.
USC QB Caleb Williams (stats) declared for the NFL Draft with 2023 backup Miller Moss (stats) and former UNLV starter Jayden Maiava (stats) competing for the top spot this offseason.
TRANSFER PORTAL REPORT (17)
Florida Atlantic transfer QB Casey Thompson (stats) committed to Oklahoma for his final year of eligibility. He has been a starter for the Owls, Nebraska and Texas but is likely the No. 2 option behind Jackson Arnold (stats) for the Sooners. Thompson suffered a torn ACL and MCL on Sept. 16, so his recovery is worth monitoring this offseason.
