Alabama transfer QB Julian Sayin committed to Ohio State a month after signing with the Crimson Tide, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported. Sayin was a 5-star quarterback in the 2024 class but hit the transfer portal after Nick Saban retired. He will join a class that also signed 5-star Air Noland to the class. Will Howard (stats) and Devin Brown (stats) are at the top of the Buckeyes’ quarterback depth chart.

2025 4-star QB George MacIntyre (TN) will commit at 10:30 a.m. ET as the top uncommitted quarterback in the class. In-state Tennessee is the favorite over Alabama, which is undergoing a major change at head coach, and LSU, which recently added 5-star QB Bryce Underwood (MI) to the class. Since this announcement, MacIntyre received more Vols predictions from 247Sports and On3, and his commitment can be seen on the SportsCenter NEXT Instagram page.

Arizona QB Noah Fifita (stats) will return to the team in 2024 for his first full season as the starter. He took over the starting role from Jayden de Laura (stats) in 2023 and still has three years of eligibility remaining. Fifita could’ve entered the transfer portal after head coach Jedd Fisch left for Washington, but the Wildcats need plenty of help to rebuild a quarterback room that saw three scholarship players enter the portal.

Arizona transfer QB Demond Williams Jr. will follow head coach Jedd Fisch to Washington. He signed as a 4-star prospect last month before hitting the portal. As of now, the starter would likely be Williams or fellow true freshman Demaricus Davis. The Huskies will be looking for transfer help, and could still be in the mix for Will Rogers (stats), who originally committed to Washington before the coaching change.
