Notre Dame QB Tyler Buchner enters transfer portal
SCOOP: Tyler Buchner
Tyler Buchner (Stats) is immediately the top quarterback option in the transfer portal, and there should be a ton of interest all over the country. Buchner opened the 2022 season as the Notre Dame starter before suffering a shoulder injury in Week 2 that sidelined him till the bowl game. The Fighting Irish brought in Wake Forest transfer Sam Hartman (Stats) this offseason, and Buchner will have three years of eligibility at his next stop. Alabama will get plenty of speculation considering former Irish offensive coordinator Tommy Rees left for the Crimson Tide this offseason.
Oregon will host Luke Moga on official visit
SCOOP: On3’s Chad Simmons
Luke Moga is coming off an Oregon visit over the weekend and will make a return trip for an official visit on June 16. It feels like the recruitment of Moga and 2024 4-star Michael Van Buren are connected as the Ducks had been considered the favorites for Moga, but now they’re trending toward Van Buren, who’s visiting for the Oregon spring game this weekend. Moga announced a commitment date for this Friday, but that has been delayed, and his finalists include Oregon, Miami, TCU, BYU, Michigan State and Arizona State.
TCU adds Oregon State transfer Chance Nolan
SCOOP: Chance Nolan
Chance Nolan (Stats) brings starter experience to a quarterback room that doesn’t have much of it after starting 20 games at Oregon State over the last three seasons. Chandler Morris (Stats) opened last season as the TCU QB1 before an injury gave Max Duggan (Stats) an opportunity to start the rest of the year. Nolan has one year of eligibility remaining, and it’ll be interesting to see if he’s a depth add or if he’ll challenge Morris for the starting spot.

Purdue QB Brady Allen enters transfer portal
SCOOP: The Athletic’s Max Olson
Brady Allen (Stats) spent a couple weeks in the transfer portal this winter before withdrawing, but he’s right back in. With the combination of Jeff Brohm leaving for Louisville and Purdue signing Texas transfer Hudson Card (Stats), this isn’t a huge surprise. Allen was a 2022 4-star prospect from Indiana with four years of eligibility remaining after playing one game with the Boilermakers.
