A handful of quarterbacks are hitting the transfer portal daily as we get closer to the end of the first ever spring transfer window. It’ll close this weekend as teams put the finishing touches on their QB room for the fall.

TCU gets crystal ball pick for Oregon State transfer Chance Nolan

Chance Nolan (Stats) is one of the most experienced transfer quarterbacks on the market after spending the last three seasons at Oregon State. Nolan has just one year of eligibility remaining so if he ultimately lands at TCU, he likely has a good understanding that he’ll at least compete with Chandler Morris (Stats) and Josh Hoover (Stats) for the starting spot as the replacement for Max Duggan (Stats).

Virginia Tech QBs Devin Farrell, Tahj Bullock enter transfer portal

Devin Farrell spent just one season at Virginia Tech as a 2022 3-star prospect from Georgia. He didn’t play a snap as a true freshman with four years of eligibility remaining at his next stop. Tahj Bullock (Stats) is a New Jersey native from the 2021 class and played just one game over the last two seasons with three years of eligibility left. Neither were in contention for snaps this fall with Grant Wells (Stats) and Kyron Drones (Stats) battling for QB1.

Louisiana Tech QB Matthew Downing enters transfer portal
SCOOP: Matthew Downing
Matthew Downing (Stats) spent one season with Louisiana Tech and will look for his fourth college football team after starting with Georgia, followed by two years at TCU. Downing played four games with the Bulldogs in 2022 before his season ended with a knee injury. According to his Twitter post, Downing has 1-2 years of eligibility to play with the potential of receiving a medical waiver.

Coastal Carolina lands Kansas transfer Ethan Vasko
SCOOP: Ethan Vasko
Coastal Carolina was in need of quarterback depth after seeing Bryce Archie (Stats), Ty Lyles (Stats) and Dontrell Jackson Jr. transfer out following the coaching change. Ethan Vasko (Stats) will join Jarrett Guest (Stats) as the only scholarship quarterbacks on the roster behind starter Grayson McCall (Stats). Vasko played one game as a true freshman at Kansas in 2022 with four years of eligibility remaining.
