COLLEGE FOOTBALL QB REPORT
Quarterback Central | Teams | Players
Ohio State QB Kyle McCord (Stats) never missed a snap but was clearly limited in the second half of Saturday’s 24-10 home win over Wisconsin with a left foot injury. Head coach Ryan Day said McCord will be fine as the Buckeyes head into Saturday’s road matchup at Rutgers. Backup Devin Brown (Stats) was unavailable, and the No. 2 option is either Tristan Gebbia (Stats) or true freshman Lincoln Kienholz (Stats) at this point.
Arizona QB Noah Fifita (Stats) played every snap in Saturday’s 27-24 home win over Oregon State with Jayden de Laura (Stats) missing his fourth consecutive game since suffering an ankle injury, though he participated in pregame warmups and appeared to be available. Fifita has played very well since taking over, and this is likely his job moving forward whether de Laura is healthy or not heading into Saturday vs. UCLA.
Texas QB Maalik Murphy (Stats) played every snap in Saturday’s 35-6 home win over BYU in the Longhorns’ first game without Quinn Ewers (Stats), who is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury. Arch Manning (Stats) is the backup and has yet to make his college football debut. Expect Murphy to be the guy again on Saturday against Kansas State.
DEPTH CHART & INJURY REPORT
Tuesday QB Notes
Buffalo QB Cole Snyder (Stats) played every snap of the 24-6 win at Kent State before the bye week despite head coach Maurice Linguist saying he anticipated Snyder and CJ Ogbonna (Stats) splitting reps. Ogbonna played more snaps than Snyder in the previous game, but Snyder started every game this season and should be the guy again at Toledo on Tuesday night.
