MY TOP THREE
Washington State transfer QB Cameron Ward is expected to make his 2024 decision in the next few days. He made visits to Florida State and Miami heading into his final year of eligibility and is still considering the NFL Draft. The Seminoles and Hurricanes need to replace their 2023 starting quarterbacks. 247Sports’ Chris Hummer | WSU, FSU, MIA | Ward (Stats)
Florida State QB Tate Rodemaker plans to skip Saturday’s Orange Bowl vs. Georgia and enter the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining. With Jordan Travis and Rodemaker unavailable, true freshman Brock Glenn will make his second consecutive start. 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz | FSU, UGA | Rodemaker (Stats), Travis (Stats), Glenn (Stats)
Ohio State is at least looking at Kansas State transfer QB Will Howard, who made recent visits to USC and Miami. He was quickly linked to the Trojans when he entered the portal, and an NFL Draft entry is not out of the question. USC is likely still the favorite but if the Buckeyes come in strong, this could become a fascinating battle to watch over the next few weeks with Howard heading into his final year of eligibility. FBS QUARTERBACK REPORT
TRANSFER PORTAL
Missouri transfer QB Gabarri Johnson committed to Oregon State with four years of eligibility remaining. The former 4-star prospect was outside the top three on the Tigers’ depth chart last season, and he’ll need to beat out Ben Gulbranson for the Beavers’ starting quarterback spot in 2024.
