COLLEGE FOOTBALL QB REPORT
Quarterback Central | Teams | Players
Ohio State head coach Ryan Day said he expected backup QB Devin Brown (Stats) to be available to practice on Tuesday. He did not have a good idea for how much he would participate in his first practice back after missing the win over Wisconsin with an ankle injury suffered against Penn State. Brown’s recovery could be significant considering Kyle McCord (Stats) was clearly not 100% against the Badgers, and Tristan Gebbia (Stats) would be the next guy in if both have to miss time against Rutgers on Saturday.
Cincinnati head coach Scott Satterfield said the quarterbacks will continue to battle this week in practice heading into Saturday’s game against UCF. He certainly left the door open for a potential switch coming out of Saturday’s loss to Oklahoma State after Brady Lichtenberg (Stats) replaced Emory Jones (Stats) late in the blowout. Jones started every game this season, and Satterfield added he foresees a situation where Lichtenberg sees playing time this weekend.
Vanderbilt head coach Clark Lea said QB AJ Swann (Stats) is questionable for Saturday’s game against Auburn as he continues to recover from an elbow injury. Ken Seals (Stats) started the last four games with Swann unavailable, but Walter Taylor (Stats) replaced him in the second quarter of last week’s loss to Ole Miss, and the two are listed as co-starters on this week’s depth chart. Lea also added Swann could be the team’s No. 1 quarterback if healthy.

Wednesday Game Day QB Notes
Ball State QB Kiael Kelly (Stats) will likely make his third consecutive start tonight at Bowling Green coming out of the bye week. He played every snap in the 24-17 home win vs. Central Michigan and is clearly the guy over Layne Hatcher (Stats) with true freshman Kadin Semonza (Stats) looking to redshirt.
