In Today’s Edition, Locklan Hewlett provided an update following his decommitment from Wake Forest. Plenty of uncommitted prospects revealed upcoming official visit dates, and I chatted with a few quarterbacks in the transfer portal.

Locklan Hewlett

2025 3⭐ Locklan Hewlett (FL) will visit USF on Saturday with additional trips in the works. He decommitted from Wake Forest last week and previously mentioned Minnesota, Pitt, USF and East Carolina as programs to have reached out since re-opening his recruitment. Hewlett would like to commit around the start of summer.

Carter Jones

2025 QB Carter Jones (TX) scheduled an official visit with Colorado State on April 19-21. Along with the Rams, he said Pitt, Memphis, Tulane, UTEP, Nevada and Arkansas State are reaching out the most recently. He’ll see Memphis on Saturday and Pitt the following weekend with a plan to commit in July.

Austin Carlisle

2025 3⭐ Austin Carlisle (TX) has been in contact with Tulsa, Colorado State, UTEP, North Texas and Arkansas State the most recently. He’ll visit Texas State on Saturday with trips to Tulsa, Colorado State, Marshall and North Texas in June. Carlisle would like to commit in July.

RECRUITING REPORT

Andrew Alford

2025 3⭐ Andrew Alford (AL) will return to UAB for its Junior Day on Saturday following last week’s trip to see the Blazers. He’ll attend Louisiana-Monroe’s spring game on April 20, will visit Southern Miss in the summer and working on confirming a date with Troy. Alford said Louisiana-Monroe, Georgia Southern, Troy, Southern Miss and Jacksonville State are reaching out more than others.
