An Iowa State staff member told me QB Hunter Dekkers (stats) is no longer on the roster. The Cyclones’ 2022 starting quarterback had been listed on the team website last season but was not with the team amid a gambling scandal. Rocco Becht (stats) started every game in 2023 and will return.
2025 3-star QB Carson Boyd (MO) committed to Illinois. He had double-digit Power conference offers before the decision and is set to join a future quarterback room that just signed 2024 3-star Trey Petty (MS).
A Clemson staff member told me Paul Tyson (stats) is expected to transition into a student coaching role but will retain the eligibility and option to return on an emergency basis. He has one year remaining with Christopher Vizzina (stats) likely to be elevated to the backup role behind Cade Klubnik (stats).

🏈 SCOOPS: 2024 QB Room Notes
A Virginia staff member told me Devin Sherwood (stats) withdrew from the transfer portal with three years of eligibility remaining. Additionally, Jared Rayman (stats) is not returning in 2024, and incoming true freshman Ethan Minter has yet to settle on a position.
