2024 QB Depth Charts & Injury Reports 🏈 More updated notes on every FBS quarterback
Latest updates on all 134 quarterback rooms
In Today’s Edition, you’ll get an updated look at all 134 QB depth charts with notes on every FBS quarterback. I sorted this week’s edition by conference starting with the SEC, and it includes every QB currently committed to an FBS program.
Information comes from a variety of team sources, press conferences and lots of reading. This isn’t perfect, but I put in the time and research to make sure this is the most accurate resource for QB injury and depth chart news on the internet. A new QB Depth Charts & Injury Reports post is sent to subscribers every Tuesday, and these are updated daily on the site during the season.
The Gunslinger Buzz gives subscribers inside access to college football QB recruiting, transfer portal, depth chart and injury news. You’ll get everything sent to your inbox with one subscription.

In addition to the newsletter, you won’t find more accurate recruiting, transfer portal and Juco QB trackers on the internet. The Master Calendar makes the in-season and offseason schedule easier to follow with upcoming QB visits and commitments. The FBS and FCS depth charts & injury reports are updated daily during the season.

Eligibility Notes
Players may play up to 4 games in a season without it counting toward a year of eligibility if they have a redshirt available.
2020 COVID season didn’t count toward a year of eligibility.
*Indicates redshirt is still available to use.
**Indicates player is serving an LDS mission OR attending service academy prep school. I assume service academy players are in the prep school until they’re listed on the roster.
Injury Designation Notes
Probable — Player suffered an injury but finished the most recent game and looked reasonably healthy.
Questionable — Player suffered an injury in the previous game and did not return OR has yet to return from an injury that forced him to miss the most recent game.
Out — Player is out indefinitely or will miss the rest of the season.

SEC
Alabama Crimson Tide
Jalen Milroe | 2 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Took over as the full-time starter early in the 2023 season and started all but one game. He worked with the first team throughout spring practice almost exclusively, according to The Athletic’s Kennington Smith III.
Ty Simpson | 3 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lost the in-season QB battle to Milroe in 2023 and played six games as a reserve.
Dylan Lonergan | 4 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Played one game as a reserve in 2023. He holds the edge for the No. 3 spot over Austin Mack, according to The Athletic’s Kennington Smith III.
Austin Mack | 4 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Did not play with Washington in 2023. He followed HC Kalen DeBoer to Alabama and committed in January.
Cade Carruth | 3 |
Did not play in 2023.
John Cooper | 4* |
Committed in December 2023.
Keelon Russell (2025)
Arkansas Razorbacks
Taylen Green | 2 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Started the first nine games with Boise State in 2023 before losing his starting spot but returned to QB1 after a season-ending injury to Maddux Madsen. He committed in December 2023.
Malachi Singleton | 4 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Did not play in 2023.
KJ Jackson | 4* | ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Competing with Boda for the third-string spot, a team source told me in early June. It’s not unrealistic for Jackson to move up to No. 2 by the time the season starts.
Blake Boda | 4 | ⭐⭐⭐
Played three games as a reserve with Coastal Carolina in 2023. He committed in April.
Austin Ledbetter | 4 |
Played for Arkansas’ baseball team the last two seasons and joined the football program this offseason.
Grayson Wilson (2025)
Quentin Murphy (2025)
Auburn Tigers
Payton Thorne | 1 | ⭐⭐⭐
Played every game and started all but one in 2023. He’s still the favorite to start but in early June, a team source told me this is a fairly wide open competition among the top three with all of them having hot stretches during the spring.
Holden Geriner | 3 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Played five games as a reserve in 2023.
Hank Brown | 4 | ⭐⭐⭐
Made his debut in the bowl game in 2023.
Walker White | 4* | ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Committed in February 2023.
Jackson Barkley | 3 |
Did not play in 2023.
John Colvin | 4 |
Did not play in 2023.
