Information comes from a variety of team sources, press conferences and lots of reading. This will never be perfect, but I do my best to make the most accurate resource for FCS quarterback news. Every recruiting commit is included in the team sections to give you a look at every current and future FCS quarterback room.
Eligibility Notes
Players may play up to 4 games in a season without it counting toward a year of eligibility if they have a redshirt available.
2020 COVID season didn’t count toward a year of eligibility.
Ivy League and Patriot League teams do not allow redshirting.
*Indicates redshirt is still available to use.
**Indicates player is serving an LDS mission.
Injury Designation Notes
Probable — Player suffered an injury but finished the most recent game and looked reasonably healthy.
Questionable — Player suffered an injury in the previous game and did not return OR has yet to return from an injury that forced him to miss the most recent game.
Out — Player is out indefinitely or will miss the rest of the season.
Next to the player names, you’ll see years of eligibility remaining heading into the 2024 season and the highest high school star rating from 247, On3 and Rivals if they had one.
A stats page for every player is an ongoing project, and the number of 2024 games played and QB snap counts are via Pro Football Focus.

QB Room Notes
Montana State QB Tommy Mellott is listed as the starter with Jordan Reed as the backup on the team depth chart. Chance Wilson and Patrick Duchien are on even footing for the third-string spot, a team source told me in July. Also, true freshman Thomas Buchanan was added to the roster, and Daveon Superales is no longer with the program, a team source told me last week.
Florida A&M QB Daniel Richardson was named the starter on the team’s Twitter account. HC James Colzie also said he plans to play Junior Muratovic in the season opener.
Norfolk State HC Dawson Odums named Jalen Daniels the starter, according to 13 News Now’s Connor Rhiel. Otto Kuhns will sit out the first four games due to an NCAA ruling.
